Tim Fleming has been practicing both criminal and family law since his admission to the Pennsylvania and Centre County Bar Associations since 1983-84. A thirty-three year resident of Centre County, Pennsylvania, Tim graduated from Cardigan Mountain School, a boys pre-preparatory school, in Canaan NH, the Mercersburg Academy preparatory school, Syracuse University, and the Ohio Northern College of Law in Ohio.
Tim is the parent of two college graduates, his son, Brad, from Penn State University, and his daughter, Kelsey from Susquehanna University. Tim understands the financial investment and commitment a parent must have to see a child obtain a good education, and believes that a good education is something that can never be taken from a person once obtained. Tim understands the goals, concerns, and desires of parents of college-age kids
Through 35 years of practice, Tim has been an Assistant District Attorney and First Assistant District Attorney, a partner in a six-man law firm formerly Lee, Martin, Green and Reiter, in Bellefonte, PA, and the owner of his own firm Fleming Law Offices, since 2002. His dual role as both a prosecutor and defense lawyer has given Tim a unique insight that many other defense attorneys do not share. Knowing the other side’s game plan is critical to a good defense strategy.
Tim has represented hundreds of people from all walks of life in Central Pennsylvania during his 35 years of practice. He has represented students charged with all levels of crimes at Penn State University Main Campus, and Altoona Campus, Susquehanna University, Bucknell University, Lock Haven University, Mansfield University and Juniata College. He provides legal representation covers criminal and family issues in a nine county area in the Centre Region, including Centre, Clinton, Clearfield, Blair, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Tioga and Union Counties.
Tim is the current President of a non-profit agency in the Centre Region- Centre For Alternatives to Community Justice (CACJ), and has served on the board for four years. He is a past Board member and Committee Chair of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL), a member and officer on both the Board of Trustees and Alumni Board of Cardigan Mountain School in Canaan, New Hampshire for twenty years, and has served as a board member to a local theater- The State Theatre for four years.
Tim enjoys being a single Dad and spending time with his children Brad, an Iraq War Veteran, and Kelsey, who is a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania. In his spare time, Tim enjoys flyfishing, hiking and bushcraft, Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and spending time with his dog Tibby. Timlives in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania.
